Experience

Daniel is a creative and innovative young designer with a passion for prototyping, 3D Cad modelling and showcasing extensive knowledge in 3D Printing. As an experienced designer working with many global companies he has designed and manufactured products for many different industries and consumers. Daniel's ability to deconstruct a problem space and build upon it through sketching, 3D modelling and prototyping allows him to bring the best design aspects together to create a suitable final solution

Daniel has also worked in the education industry working for the University of Technology, Sydney using his skills in 3D modeling to teach the next generation of designers how to further their CAD skills and learn new features and design techniques. This has also allowed him to pass on his 3D printing knowledge which has come from 8 years of using, repairing and maintaining 3D printers. He also likes to use this skill in his spare time to build replica movie and game pros showcasing his hands on manufacturing skills.

- Designing for brands such as Ryobi, Coles, Energiser and Laminex creating immersive and exciting product displays

- Using my extensive skills in Solidworks to help create manufacture ready models for a fast paced environment

2021 - 2023 Industrial Designer/Design Manager - Full Time

Dot Design Group

Working with Dot design allowed me to work with many global companies to take their ideas and design and develop them. To manage the process of these designs from ideation, prototyping, mass production all the way to delivery.

- Working through 10 - 15 projects at a time, designing and managing doing lots of testing and prototyping managing all the 3D printing in house.

- Communicating and organising projects with manufacturers in particular off shore, tracking the progress of prototypes and mass production.

2021- Design Tutor - Casual

University of Technology, Sydney

As a design tutor i teach 2nd year students in advanced Solidworks techniques in particular surfacing to further there skills and be able to create more complex and organic shapes and models

- Lecturing on the fundamentals of 3D printing and learning how to design for different manufacturing techniques

- Helping them to understand the the basics of user centred design and building for a target market.

Working as a freelance designer I was able to to experience the work flow of many different companies and design for and understand a rang of different products.

- 3D modelling and designing using Solidworks to create a range of items from large displays, to smaller tools.

-Using 3D printing to creating samples and working products to be used and tested in particular for the repair and building of musical instruments and devices.
